Job Fair at Campus

Metro College took concrete actions in the last few months in placing students with co-op and job interview opportunities. Most of the accounting students who finished their diploma program three months ago got hired through this employment service from Metro College of Technology.
Now the service is expanded to the mechanical students who have finished their design projects. On August 27, 2008, Metro College held a job fair for its students. Hiring companies were invited to the job fair and this offered the students direct contacts and conversations with mechanical, civil and structural companies. Some students were interviewed by these companies at the campus. In September and October, more companies came to Metro College and interviewed the students at the campus. These companies include Magna International, Greenspoon, Dereel Ltd.and so on.
The students of Metro College of Technology were very excited about this initiative because more students will get hired and faster in the future with this service in effect. More employers will come to the college and interview students at the campus regularly in the future. Students of Metro College of Technology will enjoy a better employment service upon successful completion of their training at the college.

Mechanical Design Seminar

This seminar will provide information in mechanical design. The design project will prepare mechanical professionals with work experience using the state of the art design tool in mechanical design. The speaker is a senior designer in mechanical engineering. He is working for a big engineering consulting company in Toronto. The seminar will take place at 15:00 on March 1, 2008.


EI training funding seminar
