Medical Office Assistant
Medical Office Assistant students will receive in-depth training in general medical office procedures, including scheduling appointments, patients’ records, medical file documentation, privacy act, conflict resolution and medical specialist referral procedures. Students will receive sound instruction in anatomy, physiology, medical and pharmaceutical terminology, and hands-on training in clerical skills used in a medical office. Medical transcription, medical bilingual variety computer programs are included.

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) course is designed to assist students to find employment at the entry level as a healthcare aid specialist. Graduates will receive a Personal Support Worker (PSW) diploma and be engaged in the daily personal care of patients of all ages in the community and in long-term care facilities.
