AutoCAD Course
AutoCAD Civil 3D/Land Development Desktop (LDD) gives a strong cutting edge for the preparation of land development planning, digital terrain modeling, road/highway alignment, profile, cross-section and quantity estimates. Land developers, road/highway designers, planners, designing and construction engineers are the professionals who use, benefit, and communicate through this dynamic software. In order to learn this software, you must have completed either AutoCAD training or Microstation training, and you must have a civil technologist or civil engineering degree/diploma, or working experience in civil engineering field.

MicroStation Course
A premier CAD software for infrastructure engineering and major architectural and civil engineering from Bentley Systems Inc, the worldwide leader in engineering software products, user services and overall quality.
The software foundation underlying the engineering of well- known buildings, airports, hospitals, highways, bridges and industrial plants throughout the world, used in over 70% of the largest US engineering firms.
The MicroStation training is a popular course for civil engineering professionals at Metro College in Toronto.

Ontario Building Code Course
With Ontario Building code training, you get valuable advice on interpreting the Ontario Building Code requirements, how to become qualified or registered, and information on resolving disputes, access training and more. Learn how the Branch works with the municipal and building sectors and consumer groups to improve the building regulatory system, while protecting public safety. You can get more information through www.obc.mah.gov.on.ca

Precision Estimation Using Timberline Course
The Timberline course will teach you to work the way you work. With Timberline training, an integrated family of financial and operations software, gives you a cross-functional system to pull everything together for streamlined, single-source control.
Built around accounting and estimating software, full range of applications are able to accommodate the entire building lifecycle, from concept and estimate, to construction and facility management, and knowing when to sell. Whether you need software to help manage projects, run real-time reports, track costs, produce estimates, forecast cash flow, or evaluate properties, the Timberline course will help.

Primavera Course
This course offers excellent Primavera training. Primavera solutions provide integrated team communication and collaboration; coordinated, schedule-based procurement; and are the world's standard for project planning and control - to ensure successful design, construction and facility management projects.
With most of these projects offering only single-digit margins, it is imperative that engineering and construction companies efficiently control project costs, schedules, procurement, contracts and changes. Amid this demanding environment, hundreds of construction companies have helped make Primavera the established leader in construction project management, control and execution software solutions. The Primavera course at Metro College in Toronto is an important portion of your civil engineering learning.

Metro College of Technology is one of the very few colleges that offer Microsoft Project training in Toronto.

Building Science & Home Inspection
Course
This Building Science & Home Inspection course covers the theory and building science underlying the basic dynamics of the building envelope, energy efficiency and environmental quality of buildings. The condition of the building envelope impacts the building occupants' health and productivity in the built environment, a building's energy use and building costs. In addition, this Building Science & Home Inspection course focuses on preventing and resolving problems related to building design, construction and operation. Through Building Science & Home Inspection training, students will gain a better understanding of the complexity of today's crucial "nuts and bolts" of architecture and building upon completion of this course.

Revit Architecture

Revit Architecture is a powerful parametric Building Information Modeling (BIM) program that works the way architects think and perceive. From preliminary design through design development, and into construction documents, the program streamlines the design process with a central 3D model. Concepts of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the tools for parametric building design and documentation are introduced. You then learn the fundamental features of Autodesk Revit Architecture, progressing through schematic design, construction documentation, and design visualization. It also covers the tools of Revit Architecture to create architectural details based on design requirements while creating full 3D architectural models and integrating various components of the structures and building envelopes. You must have at least civil engineering background to take this course.

InRoads Course
Bentley Inroads is a powerful CAD software program that is widely used in consulting, construction and government transportation agencies. InRoads training at Metro College in Toronto will cover both basic topics and advanced features.
