AUTOCAD Course
The AutoCAD software from the Autodesk Company is the most popular 2D drafting, detailing and 3D design tool used by designers worldwide.

It provides native DWG compatibility. Designers can personalize or program the software or add a third-party application to meet specific design requirements.

Now, AutoCAD integrates new and enhanced productivity tools, presentation graphics, CAD standards and much more for faster, easier data creation and sharing.

Autodesk has developed a series of professional solution packages, including Autodesk Land Desktop, Autodesk Civil Design, Mechanical Desktop, Architectural Desktop, etc.

The AutoCAD course, one of the mechanical design software courses at Metro College in Toronto, will give you the necessary AutoCAD training you need to succeed!

SolidWorks Course
The SolidWorks course provides training for this 3D Computer-aided mechanical design software from SolidWorks Corp. founded in 1993 and acquired by Dassault System in 1997.

SolidWorks Corp. is a leading mechanical design solution company in selling new and lower-priced software.

SolidWorks course (training) will help you understand the system used for designing and engineering parts and assemblies in a completed 3D-centric process linked to automated assembly and drafting functions.

This SolidWorks course will offer excellent SolidWorks training to help you move forward in your mechanical design career!

Pro-Engineer Course
Pro-Engineer (Pro-E) is one of software tools from the CAD/CAM/CAE industry’s leading suppliers. It is from Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC)

A pioneer of the new feature-based, parametrically driven design paradigm in the late 1980s Pro-Engineer is now an industrial standard.

Pro-Engineer is a system used to automate the development of a mechanical product from its conceptual design through to production.

Offering integrated software technologies to reduce marketing efforts, Pro-Engineer training will help you improve engineering processes and optimize product quality.

Autodesk Inventor Course
Autodesk Inventor is a complete software, support, and training offering that provides engineers with an easy understanding of modeling concepts, user interfaces, assembly modeling and presentation. The study is aimed at maximizing the exclusive power of design technology. Autodesk Inventor training gives you a complete solution to simplified software for license management while improving budgeting and minimizing disruptions to workflow..

GD & T course
GD & T is a common engineering language that professionals must speak in mechanical industry. This course provides an introduction to the terms, rules, symbols, and concepts of basic GD&T training as prescribed in the ASME Y14.5M-1994 Standard. An in-depth explanation of geometric symbols, including each symbol’s requirements, tolerance zones, and limitations. The class includes a comparison of GD&T to coordinate tolerancing; an explanation of tolerance zones; Rules #1 and #2; form and orientation controls; tolerance of position; runout and profile controls. Throughout the class, students will learn the benefits of GD&T and achieve the ability to interpret GD&T on engineering drawings. Students will also learn how to apply the geometric dimensions and tolerances to the engineering drawing as well as selecting instruments to inspect geometric dimensions and tolerances and design functional gauges or fixtures for basic application.

Metrology course
Dimensional Measurement and Gage Technology is designed to develop dimensional measurement ability for the skilled workers, inspectors, technicians and for personnel entering a technical occupation. Instruction will be given in both the English and metric system of measurements. Measuring equipment and instruments used include: scales, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, indicators, production gages, comparators and optical flats. Students will learn the role of error, basic calibration procedure, record and correct calibration readings. CMM(Coordinate Measuring Machine) as most important measuring equipment is also be introduced.

Fundamentals of MasterCAM & Advanced MasterCAM course
MasterCAM is one of the most popular CAM/CAD programs. It has been on the market for over 20 years and it has strong CNC programming functions including milling, lathe and EDM. The NC function covers 2D, 3D and multi-axes programming and machining. Most of the smaller companies use MasterCAM to create CNC programs to machine various products used in almost every industry. Now MasterCAM CNC programming software has become the leading PC-based CAM software due to its power and easy use. Students will be able to use their MasterCAM training to create CNC programs upon completion of the MasterCAM training.

Mechanical Design Project
Qualified students taking the mechanical design course will be encouraged to take a challenging mechanical design project. They will have a unique opportunity to use the skills learned in class to complete a real-life project. The major purpose of the design project is to prepare mechanical design students with practical working experience. Upon completion of the project, the students will master the mechanical design procedures, engineering drawing standards of North America, 3-D design software and will be able to work in Canada as an experienced mechanical designer.
